The Ruger® LC9s® Pro Semi-Auto Pistol is a striker-fired version of the LC9 concealed carry pistol, sized specifically to work with the 9x19mm cartridge. Also, the LC9's slide isn't the easiest to grasp well, so you may not be able to apply your full strength to it. Applied gentle forward pressure on back end of slide, to bring it to where it would be when in correct battery position. It appears that as long as the barrel is fitted to the slide a somewhat loose fit between the slide and the frame affects accuracy very little. I removed the slide and there appeared to be a problem with the hammer catch & main spring.

I just sent it out to the refinishers to have the slide Cerakoted (Corvette Yellow), and will replace all the springs, plus add the new trigger bar and trigger (red) offered by Galloway. I lightly hit it with some 800 grit emery then used the small wheel on the Dremel with some Flitz. Inside was the slide, recoil spring and guide rod, barrel and one magazine. Ruger is known for quality, but the excitement of the initial LC9 release was tamed a bit by the nearly instant safety recall of the very first models to roll off the line.
It is far more reliable than my Kimber Micro 9, a beautiful stainless steel gun that chokes one some types of ammo, is the same size as the LCPs Pro, holds only a 6-round magazine and costs about 3 times as much. However, the introduction of the 9mm gun to the market made Ruger step up from the.
